PRIDE STORE: The Pride Store was open today. Ask your child about the positive things they’ve done to earn Pride Points!
Winter Spirit Week:
Monday, 1/30 - Winter PJ Day (wear your favorite winter pajamas)
Tuesday, 1/31 - Warm Donations Day - Bring NEW socks, scarves, mittens or hats to donate
Wednesday, 2/1 - Warm Cocoa Day - Warm cocoa for all during snack time
Thursday, 2/2 - Warm Fuzzy Socks Day - Wear a pair of your warmest and fuzziest socks
Friday, 2/3 - Dress Like a Snowman Day - Bundle up and dress like a snowman!!!
Friday, 3/3 - MOVIE NIGHT - Clifford The Big Red Dog: 6:30 to 8:00 pm - Family Movie
Night in the gym at the Elementary (Student Council Fundraiser). Admission $2 per family and popcorn & snacks will be for sale. Blankets & pillows welcome!
Reezin’ For Freezin’ Polar Plunge - The Luverne Area Community Foundation is a strong supporter of local organizations. H-BC has been a benefactor on several occasions. LACF is holding Luverne Leap on February 11. Our own Dylan Gehrke will represent H-BC Elementary at the event. To donate go to: luverne.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create. H-BC Theater: H-BC student-actors & actresses performed for the 3rd-5th grade students on Tuesday. Thank you to Mrs. Comp and the Theater Students for sharing the one act play, Goldilocks on Trial.
KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP: Kindergarten Round-Up is scheduled for March 17th. Students 5 years old on or before August 31, 2023 are eligible. Please see the details here: K Round Up
GIRLS ON THE RUN: H-BC Elementary is excited to have the GOTR program back again this year for grades 3-5 girls. From the first practice to crossing the finish line, GOTR girls learn that their self-work is paramount to all that they do. The Spring 2023 Season will run March 6-May 17, Mondays and Wednesday 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm. Registration is now open: www.embe.org/gotr In addition to the opportunities for girls, GOTR also needs great leaders with big hearts! Please consider contributing to the program at H-BC this season. You do not have to be a runner to coach! Check out the website above for more information!
BASKETBALL CAMP: K-2 Camp continues Saturday, January 28 and February 4. Participants received their new t-shirt today.
EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION: Our ECFE Program is a great way for parents to spend quality time with their child. Children ages 0-5 are welcome to H-BC Elementary School each month from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Mark your calendar for these upcoming dates: February 7 and 21.
