Daylight Savings Time Begins-  Remember to Spring your clocks forward this Sunday early morning (2 am)--March 14, 2021

Down Syndrome Awareness Day is 3.21 - We will celebrate our friends with Down Syndrome on Monday, March 22.  Students can show their support by wearing brightly colored socks!

Kindergarten Round Up & Preschool Registration- See the attached calendar and details!  We welcome all new students!

Grades 3-6 Swimming Lessons-  Swimming Lessons run March 15-19.  No lessons on early dismissal day- 3/17.  Students need to remember their swimsuit, plastic bag & towel.

Lego Robotics- 4th & 5th graders that registered for the Lego Robotics will continue on Tuesdays/Thursdays through March 18.

The Minnesota Energy Assistance Program (EAP) can help

Too many low-income Minnesotans have to choose between paying their energy bill and other necessities - food, medicine and healthcare. Minnesota’s Energy Assistance Program offers eligible residents help to pay their energy bills so they do not have to choose between life’s necessities. Spread the word.

 

Energy Assistance Program (EAP) facts

§  Renters & homeowners are eligible.

§  Assets such as the home are not considered in determining eligibility.

§  Grants range from $300 to $1,600, based on household size, income, and fuel cost.

§  The average grant is about $550.

§  In addition to the initial grant, additional Crisis funds are available to:

-        Help pay a past due bill or get an emergency fuel delivery.

-        Help homeowners get their broken furnace repaired or replaced.

How to apply for EAP

§  Households contact their local EAP service provider to apply for EAP.

§  Households find their EAP provider:

-        By calling 1-800-657-3710 & entering their zip code, or

-        On this list of service providers by county or tribe at https://mn.gov/commerce/consumers/consumer-assistance/energy-assistance/eap-provider.jsp.

§  29 local EAP service providers including Community Action Programs, counties, tribal governments and non-profits serve all areas of the state.
