Dear H-BC Parents:
It has been brought to the attention of H-BC school administration and the Hills-Beaver Creek
Board of Education that there is a good possibility that we have some attendees at H-BC home
high school football games bringing in alcohol via personal beverage containers and their
vehicles, which violates school policy and sets a bad example for our youth. This
offense/possibility of an offense is taken with all seriousness by the Board of Education and
Administration.
As you may know, the Hills-Beaver Creek Board of Education met in emergency meeting at 7
pm this evening to discuss the issue. The Board acted as follows:
1. Approved a moratorium (banned) for the rest of the 2017 football season on allowing
vehicles inside the H-BC Football Field Complex located at South Central Avenue,
Hills, MN. For the remainder of the 2017 football season there will be no parking inside
of the fenced in area of the H-BC Football Complex.
2. Approved allowing vehicles with handicap parking license issued by a state licensing
bureau and those vehicles necessary for administration of football games to enter the
H-BC Football Field Complex located on South Central Avenue, Hills, MN.
3. Approved a moratorium (banned) on allowing spectator personal liquid/beverage
containers from the H-BC Football Field Complex for the rest of the 2017 football
season.
4. Approved directing the Superintendent and Board Policy Committee to further study HBC
Football Field parking and make recommendations for the 2018 season.
Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Sincerely,
Todd Holthaus
Superintendent
